Omaha, NE 8-13-08

Today we drove from Shelby to Omaha for a day of sightseeing. We had a good time. I was left in the car several times while mom & dad went into 2 Elks Lodges.. This is another one of their hobbies. They go into the lodges and drink alcohol and get lodge pins, which they collect. They have over 300 pins hanging on a banner in our motorhome

Shelby, Iowa 8-12-08

We are staying in Shelby, Iowa for a couple of days and we went out Geocaching today. This is a hobby that my parents love to do. We search for things in weird places.. We sure drove a long way and Roy & Jackie got very excited because they were the 1st ones to find 2 caches today. Guess this is something really cool for people that cache. Did you notice that mom & dad bought me some new clothes!! I am more comfortable in shorts and a shirt.

Winterset, Iowa 8-9-08

Wow!! I feel great today. We are out sightseeing. We visited the Bridges of Madison County and this picture of me is at the bridge where the movie was made. Then we went to the birthplace of the great movie star, John Wayne. Its funny that he had a girls 1st name when he was born. It was "Marion", sure glad he changed it as it would have been weird to see a famous cowboy with a girlie name. My parents take me to the best places!!
